Default Convert sentence to present form

I had just finished taking a bath when i heard a knock at the door.

So what do you use in place of "had just finished" and "heard" to change this sentence into present. Please help!

Default Re: Convert sentence to present form

I'm just finishing my bath when I hear a knock at the door.

However, this sounds to me like the present being used for a past narrative.
