The vessel will arrive on the 10 June, 2009.
We refer to your letter of the 15 the May last (or the 15th May, 2008.) These days, for clarity, your suggested alternative in brackets.
We have received your letter dated the 2 May, 2009. without the article
We have received your letter of the 2 May, 2009. without the article
We cabled you on the May, 2009. We cabled you on xx May 2009
The goods ordered by you on the 29 April, 2009 are ready for shipment. without the article
We shall write the suppliers a letter. Or We shall write a letter to the suppliers.
Your favor of the 25th ultimo has come to hand this morning. This whole sentence comes from the 19th century - take it as obsolete
We are in possession receipt of your letter of the 1st May and of your telegram of even date and beg to advise you that the s.s. “Balkan” left Varna for London on the 29th ultimo. but old-fashioned, and omit articles in dates.
Your letter of the 1th May as well as your telegram of even date have come into our possession so we beg to advise you that the s.s. “Balkan” left Varna for London on the 29th ultimo.
