Default The negative form of" I like sth better."

Dear friends:

I like the weather in NY. but I like the weather in L.A better.

How to say:
I don't the weather in L.A. but I hate the weather in NY more?

Do you use " more" ? Is the above sentence correct in American English?

or what 's the best way to say?

Thanks.
