Re: poem help
Cats are contradictions: tooth and claw Velvet - padded;
Snowflake - gentle paw
A fist of pins;
Kettles on the purr
Ready to spit;
Black silk then bristled fur.
Cats are of the East -
Scimitar and sphinx;
Sunlight striped with shade
Leopard, lion, lynx
Moss - footed in a frightened glade;
Slit eyes an amber glint
Or boring through the darkness as cool as jade.
What do you not understand?
