What do these mean?
1. Engine wear occurs most swiftly not during high-speed driving but in the first moments after a car has been started, when the cylinders are starved for oil. (This is the one I saw online but I don't get it. How could there be 'moments' after a car has been started?)

Thanks.
In the singular, it would a very short timespan, a second or so. In the plural, it would be a bit longer, a few seconds, maybe half a minute.![]()
