If these are not correct, why? What do they mean?
1. My transmission would have been in better shape right now if I hadn't done it. (I think 'right now' is wrong in this sentence, is it because this sentence is a past conditional sentence?)
2. My transmission would be in better shape right now if I didn't do it. (Present imaginary conditional?)
3. My transmission would be in better shape right now if I hadn't done it. (wrong?)
Thanks.

2&3 are fine. The first doesn't work for me for the reason you gave.![]()
That is not wrong? Shouldn't it be like these:
3. My transmission would be in better shape right now if I hadn't done it. (wrong?)
would have...if....hadn't
would..if.....didn't
... would ... if ... weren't ...
... would have ... if ... hadn't been

It's correct- you did something wrong in the past, but the result is showing now.
1- My transmission would be in better shape right now if I hadn't done it.
Current problem caused by past action
2- My transmission would have been in better shape right now if I hadn't done it.
Past problem caused by past action
![]()
So the one above is not a conditional sentence?
1- My transmission would be in better shape right now if I hadn't done it.
Current problem caused by past action
Thanks.
