use of preposition

Could you please suggest me how can we easily use prespostion in the text? Sometimes it is too confusing for eg. while using on and in.

What's the text?

For example, in is short for inside of and on is short for on top of and onto. You can get in(side) a bus, and you can also get, or rather, walk on(to) a bus. So, both in and on work here:

• Get in/on the bus.

With vehicles, if you can walk on, then use in or on:

• Get in/on the plane.
• Get in/on the boat.
• Get in/on the train.
• Get on the bike. <you can't get in a bike>
• Get in the taxi. <you can't walk onto a taxi>
• Get on the scooter. <you can't get in a scooter>
