need an opinion please

I am a student (junior) , who is being prepared for the first certificate , however I believe that the way we are being "trained" its not correct because we only make exercices on our tests instead of making them on classes ...do you think that is alright or it should be changed ? if your a teacher what would you say? if you are a stdent like me ..how do you do it in your school?
I would apreciate your opinion ....thank you all

You are right. We call it "teaching to exams" and it is not considered educationally valuable by teachers, who prefer focussing on skill development.
