Hi, I would like to know if there's any idiomatic expression that means "fuel somebody's arguments", something like the french one "mettre de l'eau au moulin de quelqu'un".
Re: Idiom help
I don't know what the French expression means but I think I can help you. An English expression which means "to make an argument worse" is "to add fuel to the fire/flames".
