Simple Past or Past Perfect?
Hello eveybody,
I have this sentence and I am not sure what to use, simple past or past perfect?
When I got to the station, I realised I left the tickets at home.
or
When I got to the station, I realised I had left the tickets at home.
since there are two actions in the past and one happened before the other, I am more in favour of the past perfect tense.
Please, comment on the sentence. Thank you

Your right in your thinking - the second sentence is the better choice in terms of grammar.
