By itself, there” s nothing wrong with the word “ones” as a plural: “surrounded by her loved ones.” However, “this one” should not be pluralized to “these ones.” Just say “these."

I don't get it, so this is wrong?

Remember? The word this is singular, and the word these is plural:

This one.
These ones.

This car.
These cars.

Here's a trick to help you remember:

The word this has one vowel. one is singular, so this is singular, too.
The word these has two vowels. two is plural, so these is plural, too.

1. is OK if 'ones' is there for emphasis. For example,

Pat: These cars are parked illegally.
Sam: Which ones?
Pat: These ones, here. (OK)

The structure is as follows: demonstrative pronoun + plural noun + adverb.

But if there's no need for emphasis, then 'These' alone says it all on its own, so there's no need to repeat the noun, or replace it with 'ones':

Pat: These cars are parked illegally.
Sam: Which ones?
Pat: These, here. (OK)

'These' is substantive: it functions as a noun.
