| When I work in customer service, such as waiter, what should I say back when a customer say "thank you" to me? (except "you're welcome") Thanks for any help. |

| You can say "Not at all", "Don't mention it" and "No problem" Quote:

| I beg you, don't say "no problem." I find that SO rude! I am your customer and I didn't think it was a problem to come to you fix something for me or to order a proeduct, so I don't need your assurance that it was not one. You can also just thank the customer for choosing your company. "Glad I could help and thank you for choosing ABC Bank." "It was my pleasure and thank you for choosing to shop with XYZ." |

| Should I say "no worries" back to customers? |

| Well, if they are costumers, it's always safe to be polite without being too formal. - Thank you. - It's always a pleasure. (smile, never fails, they always smile back) |

In business settings, I've commonly heard "Thank YOU" back at the person. Again, my suggestion, especially on the phone, is to formalize it a bit: Thank you for... choosing us/shopping with us/giving us the opporutnity to address this issue/etc. |

| I agree with this - and I find "no worries", if anything, even worse. |

| Certainly. That's probably better (more formal) than "yeah" or "okay" which could come across as quite rude. Or you might say "of course" instead of "no problem". I also agree with saying "thank you" back, but you might add an emphasis like "No, thank you" or "Oh, thank you." |
