Meaning of the following sentence?
Sentence :
"So far I'm impressed, Tom Cruise delivered what I thought was one of the worst films I saw last year ("Vanilla sky") and redeamed himself this year with something decent. And he got his faced messed up in both of them too! I don't know why that is worth mentioning."
I have read the above sentence in a webpage which describes the story of the movie "Minority Report". ( 3rd paragraph from last )
Link :Minority Report movie review. Stars Tom Cruise and Samantha Morton - by Reel Cinema
My question : I would like to know if the author likes the movie or not.
I think he does not like the movie. Am I correct?
I need to improve my English comprehension skills .
Thank you for your time.

Re: Meaning of the following sentence?
Based just on this excerpt, the reviewer likes the movie "Minority Report" (or at least thinks it is okay/decent). He doesn't like the movie "Vanilla Sky".
