I'd like to know whether you'd write "northern" with a lowercase or capital N in the following sentence:
"He works as a sales representative for N/northern Germany."

If it's a proper name, say, the name of a company or the name of a specific geographical locations (e.g., the Northeast, the Southend), then use a capital. However, do not capitalize compass directions or locations that aren't being used as names.Originally Posted by Unregistered
