If these are not correct, why? What do they mean?
1. DVD and HDTV-ready MPEG-2 decoding up to 1920x1080i resolutions. (How come 'resolutions' is plural?)
2. DVD and HDTV-ready MPEG-2 decoding up to 1920x1080i resolution. (Is it wrong when it is singular? Why? What does it mean?)
Thanks.

In this case, the correct way to go is resolution. It indicates a level of resolution a device can achieve. Even in this acception or the others resolution takes, the plural form is acceptable (as in New Year's resolutions) but it's not really applicable in your example.
I have seen a lot of articles that uses this one though. Do you know why?1. DVD and HDTV-ready MPEG-2 decoding up to 1920x1080i resolutions. (How come 'resolutions' is plural?)
There can be many different resolutions below that limit. If there are standadr resoluitions up to 1920x1080i, then it can decode a number of things.![]()
Didn't think of it that way... very true
