Heard on TV
Hi Guys,
- How go the repairs?
- Give my all.
- So say we all.
Shouldn't those be?
-How do the repairs go?
-Give all of me.
-So we all say.
Or are both lists correct?

The third sentence of the first list is coorect but it has a different meaning than the correct one from the second list.

a-How do the repairs go?
b-Give all of me.
c-So we all say.

They are all correct, and they are all used.
1. is an archaic form of a. that is still used for casual, but mock-formal snippets of conversation.
2. means 'give my everything', 'give everything I've got'.
3. is a formulaic response, based on an outdated style. It means c.

Re: Heard on TV
Thanks for the response guys
Raymott, I heard these sentences, 1,2 and 3, in an episode of "Battlestar Gallactica".
We've never learned this word-order in the English language lessons, hence my surprise, it is exactly the way these sentences are build in Flemish, my native language.
