There are some questions I need to ask you, so I will order them:

a) In the sentence: "During this summer, I've put on some kilos because I've drunk and eaten a lot." Is the use of present perfect right? Should I have used another way?

b) When I say: "How heavy are you?", Can I answer: "I am 53 kilos."???

c) With the phrasal verb "hang around", is it right to say: "There were some strange people hanging around my house yesterday"?

d) Suppose I have a towel and I don't want to use it because I'm afraid it can "come to an end". Is "come to and end" right in this sentence?

(a) is fine if the summer has not yet finished; otherwise, you'll have to set it in simple past tense.

(b) 'I am' or 'I weigh' are both fine.

(c) That's a great sentence.

(d) Is not good-- I don't even understand your idea. 'Come to an end' means finish-- the movie finally came to an end after midnight', 'our holidays came to an end when I lost my VISA card'. There is also the idiom, 'come to a bad end'-- 'Jesse James came to a bad end: he was shot in the back'.

I don't want to use the towel because I'm afraid it might wear out.
I don't want to use the towel because I'm afraid of wearing it out.
I don't want to use the towel because I'm afraid it might get worn out.
