I'm currently working on a glossary on hose technology (German, English). There is a metal hose type called "square locked hose" which I had expected to be written with a hyphen like similar compounds (square-edged, square-headed etc.). Most Google hits show the "unhyphenated" version.
What would be grammatically correct and why?
Cheers!
Kerstin
