Letter to ICICI
Hi Teachers,
Pl. proofread the below letter & thank you for the support!!
Cheers
Rasna
------------------------------------------------------
PNT Market has been envisaged by PNN to facilitate farmers and whole sellers across the state of Karnataka by providing Marketing, Logistics and Agro advisory supports in a transparent way. This has resulted in reduction of post harvest losses, higher farmers’ share in consumer spent and increasing farmers’ income.
We have received notice from ICICI Bank for termination of lease agreement in respect of commercial premises at PNT Market. (Scanned copy attached).
We would also like to inform you that when PNT Market was started the premises were given to ICICI bank in spite of being a private bank with the sole objective that the bank will provide faster and better services to the farmers, buyers, transporters and traders and the bank’s commitment was confirmed at the time of inaugural function of opening the branch by Executive Director of ICICI Bank who came specially from the Bank’s H.Q. and gave the bank’s commitment for PNT and farmers cause. Keeping in view of this fact the premises were leased out to the bank without any exit clause.
It is important that the bank branch should continue in our premises by considering the following;
- 90% of PNT Market transactions are through this bank branch only and shifting will aggravate the delayed payments to the farmers and others associated with PNT Market.
- An IT industry is coming up next to our office so that branch may extend the services and its business will grow up.
- Farmers from the nearby area who are making use of the services of this branch may approach Government and bring the political influence.
Now, we request issue suitable instruction to your ICICI Bank, PNT Market Branch to continue their operations in PNT Market premises for the interest of farmers & others associated with PNT Market.
Cheers

The PNT Market has been developed by PNN to facilitate farmers and wholesalers across the state of Karnataka by providing Marketing, Logistics and Agro advisory support in a transparent way. This has resulted in the reduction of post harvest losses, higher farmers’ share of the consumer spend and increasing farmers’ income.
We have received notice from ICICI Bank of the termination of the lease agreement in respect of commercial premises at PNT Market. (Scanned copy attached).

In view of this fact the premises were leased to the bank without any exit clause.
It is important that the bank branch should continue in our premises for the following reasons:
- 90% of PNT Market transactions are through this bank branch only and moving will aggravate the delay of payments to the farmers and others associated with PNT Market.
- An IT industry is coming next to our office, so that branch may extend the services and its business will grow.
- Farmers from the nearby area who are making use of the services of this branch may approach Government seeking political intervention.
Now, we ask you to issue suitable representations to the ICICI Bank, PNT Market Branch, to continue their operations in PNT Market premises for the interest of farmers & others associated with PNT Market.
Read this carefully to note every change.
