What is the meaning of "to hit a bucket of balls"
Thanks a lot
When people want to practice their swing in the game of golf, they go to what's called a driving range. You purchase a bucket of golf balls (actually your rent them, becauase you don't keep them) and, one at a time, you practice hitting them. When you have hit all of the golfballs in your bucket, you have "hit a bucket of balls."
Barb is 100% correct in her explanation. However, it must be noted that 'hitting a bucket of balls' is also standard practice in the games of baseball and softball. 'Practice makes perfect!'
