I am living in New York.
Is this a sentence than we can call a present continuous?
which of the following can't say it in terms related with time.
a New Yorker / a tourist / an exchange student

You are right about the tense of the verb of this sentence, it is the present continuous.
The present continuous is principaly use for one action happening at the moment of speaking.
If you are New Yorker, you say "I live in New York", because you are American and you live the major part of your time in New York.
You need to learn a little English grammar rules for the construction of sentences, there no other way to progress.
