Please tell me about the rules for the subject verb agreement in a essay. I'm writing an essay, but every time a have a review, my teacher says to me that I should review the subject verb agreement.

Subjects and verbs must AGREE with one another in number (singular or plural). If a subject is singular, its verb must also be singular; if a subject is plural, its verb must also be plural.

In the present tense, nouns and verbs form plurals in opposite ways: nouns ADD an s to the singular form; verbs REMOVE the s from the singular form.

For example: Singular: The cat chases the mouse. Plural: The cats chase the mouse.

In case there's any confusion, the rules for the subject verb agreement in an essay are the same rules that apply to any sentence. If you carry over a subject to another sentence, then you have to carry over the verb form as well.
The cat chases the mouse. It then eats the mouse. (not 'eat').

It may be an essay in the present tense, in which the tricky bit is the 3rd person singular: he loves, she thinks, it takes, etc. Don't forget your esses.
