| OK- it should be 'it crossed his mind' if you want to use that structure. In you new version, watch the change from 'he' to 'I'- if you use the first person, you should use direct speech. |

| I would be more than happy to correct it in the final draft. I feel very happy you guys are correcting those mistakes, we the visistors make. What's the difference between direct and indirect speach and when do you need to tie one of the two. Finding it hard choose between those two. I hope you mind to correct the other mistakes, I used to make. And good luck with running this fantastic site. |

| Thank you very much for explaining the difference in usuage of speech. I enjoy my english since you guys explained all the stuff. So, you usually use direct speech in case you are refering to " I. that sounds clear to me. If I'm wrong please correct me. |

| In this stroy, when you use I, it will be direct speech, because it is a third person narrative. If I am talking about myself, it doesn't have to be direct speech. |
