    Default someone to talk to

    a. I don't have someone to talk to.
    b. I don't have anyone to talk to.

    Is there a difference between these sentences?

    English is a funny language. We would be more likely to use "someone" in a "positive" sense, such as:
    I would like to find someone to talk to.
    On the other hand, we would be more likely to use "anyone" in a "negative" sense, such as:
    I don't have anyone to talk to. (As above.)
