Default Thank you for visiting our office

I need help to know which of the following sentences is correct and more natural in formal letter.

Thank you for visiting our office (on 01 June 2009) to obtain our visa consultation.

Thank you for your recent attendance in our office (on 01 June 2009) to obtain our consultation on your visa application.

Do you recommend me to delete the date or I can leave it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

What sounds natural to me - and what I would say is this:
"Thank you for visiting our office for a visa consultation on June 1, 2009."
I might leave off the year - and write the date like this:
"Thank you for visiting our office for a visa consultation on June 1st."
