Last name = family name

I`d call him Mr. Ron if I didn`t have the opportunity to meet him before, or if he didn`t ask me to call him Ron.

I think Ron is easy to say if i am his friend :-D

I´ve heard that it´s

Mr + last name

and

Sir + first name



P.S. Calling him Ron would seem that we´re very close friends. Aren´t we Ron?:-D

I would say Ron because you are his friend and friends don't use such "compliments" to call each others
