yes , i think so too.it's noun in " ……did enough" this sentence, not adj to modify the elliptical noun "work" .

yes . i think so too. in the sentence "…… did enough", it's noun,not adj to modify the elliptical noun "work".

"Adequate" is close in meaning to "enough" and "sufficient". It shows that something is good enough or large enough for a particular purpose:

e.g.

The negative form of "adequate" is "inadequate", while for 'enough" we have to use "not".
e.g.
We don`t have enough milk for coffee. It`s not enough.

Enough....I know some exsamples.
This is enough. I use this phrase when I argue with my friend, I wan to stop the argument. Is it Ok ?
