We have recently allowed you to use your own avatars. Take a look in your profile and upload your own!

Does one need a certain number of posts before our own avatars show up? I've just recently registered (as you see, I have only 3 posts) and uploaded an avatar in my profile. It still hasn't shown up, though.

I can see it- it is in the top left of every post you make, right next to your name.

I'm sorry, but am I supposed to see it? I see no picture next to my name when I post. Consequently, I don't know if anyone else has an avatar, but I don't see the others either....

Why is this so?

Mil pardons to all. I have since fixed the problem myself. I had to go into my Control Panel, and edit my options. I suppose the default is to hide avatars and signatures. I simply changed this, and voila! Now, I can see my beautiful Venus de Milo.

Thank you for directing me to the FAQ; they're very useful.

I do think, however, that it would behoove you to make a mention of displaying/hiding avatars under this section.... Just my $0.02, red. Thanks for listening.
