Thread: "Destroy", "Damage", "Break"?

    Post "Destroy", "Damage", "Break"?

    Well, in almost of the time, these three words "destroy", "damage", "break" are similar to each other. Help me with distinguishing these words please! Thank you.

    "destroy" means to damage something so severely that it becomes useless or nonexistent.
    "break" is a particular kind of damage or destruction.
    All three words are verbs. "damage" and "break" are nouns too, as is 'destruction'.

    Default not a teacher

    "Damage" is less severe than "destroy" or "break". Something can be damaged but still be functional.
