My confusion:
Both noise and sound are nouns. Still why is it incorrect to say "How does it noise" and why is it correct to say "How does it sound" ?
Help please.
Welcome to the forum, sherbir,
As nouns, 'noise' and 'sound' can, in certain contexts, have similar meanings - OneLook: General dictionary sites. However, your sentence requires a verb; there is a verb 'sound', but there is no verb 'noise' that would makes sense here. .
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
