When do we have to be doing the research?
Hi!
Someone asks what this sentence means.
- When do we have to be doing the research?
I am wondering whether it is common to say that?

(Not a Teacher)
It sounds ok given the right context. However, you haven't really provided any context, so for all I know, this sentence would have sounded really crazy to me had I been there to hear it.
