Which one is correct?

Hi:


Grammatically we are supposed to refer to countries, companies as it but I have found personalized countries and companies. Lets see:

Colombia is a beautiful country but its inhabitants want to emigrate. or: Colombia is a beautiful country but his inhabitants want to emigrate, even: Colombia is a beautiful country but their inhabitants want to emigrate.

The same for company (ies):
This company is the richest in the world and his employees are rich too.

Nature: countries, land, water, mountains, and so on, are referred to as 'she' or 'her'. Sentence 1 is ok. Sentence 2 should be 'her inhabitants'. Sentence 3 is not ok. 'Columbia' is singular so 'their' should be singular 'its' or 'her'. Sentence for is not ok. It should be 'its' or 'her'.

1. Colombia is a beautiful country but its inhabitants want to emigrate.
2. Colombia is a beautiful country but his inhabitants want to emigrate.
3. Colombia is a beautiful country but their inhabitants want to emigrate.
4. This company is the richest in the world and his employees are rich too.
