Are you looking for a single word to replace that phrase?
Hi everyone!
I've been trying hard to find a synonym for the phrase 'practical applications of the theory'.
I want to use it in the following sentence.
His inclination towards knowing the practical applications of theory is impressive.
Thanks!

i am actually not sure if it is the correct way of expressing it or if it can be be rephrased using some other word/phrase... do u feel it is correct in using it as it is?
thanks for the prompt reply!
Your original sentence: "His inclination towards knowing the practical applications of theory is impressive."
"Practical applications of [the] theory" sounds OK to me (depending on context), but neither "inclination" nor "knowing" are natural. Try to write your sentence again.
