Help with understanding intransitive verbs!!

You can't have a Direct Object within a prepositional phrase. Right?
So that means "lived" is an intransitive verb ( cause they don't take Direct Objects), because "with" follows it, and that's a preposition, right?

so where is the complement in this sentence and what kind is it? (predicate nominative., etc.)
