'I spoke well at the interview and I got the job.'
It was because...
'It was because of my well speaking at the interview that I got the job.'
'It was because I spoke well at the interview that I got the job.'
Which one is correct?

I prefer the second one.

'It was because I spoke well at the interview that I got the job.'

The first sentence is wrong. It should be 'It was because of my speaking well at the interview that I got the job.' Even so, the other construction sounds much better.
