Hi teachers,
I know we need a comma after 'yes' in this sentence, 'Yes, it is.'
Do I also need a comma after 'yes' in the following one? If yes, do we always use a comma after 'yes' regardless how long the sencence is?
Yes, it is our house.

Is it true that to determine if a comma is required after 'yes', we have to check if the sentence stands on its own by omitting 'yes'.

Thanks in advance.

To your first question, yes.
To your second question, I don't remember I've ever seen a yes following a full or cut sentence without a comma.
