Is "Much to her reluctance, Lena went to the party" the correct transformation?

Lena went to the party. She was very reluctant.

Much to her reluctance, Lena went to the party.

Is the second sentence the correct transformation of the first sentence?

Me too, the other sounds comically awkward.
