Which of these are correct:
1-The man in the car's ears were big. (The ears of the man in the car...)
2-A man of distinction's influence cannot be neglected. (The influence of a man of distinction...)
3-A week or so's rain will do us a lot of good. (Rain for a week or so will ...)
4-The man standing at the corner's hat looks strange. (The hat of the man standing at the corner...)
5-The woman I know's car is parked outside. (The car of the woman I know...)
2 and 3 are fine. 1 and 5 are comprehensible but not natural. 4 doesn't work - it sounds like you are saying the "corner's hat".
