Do Articles have weak forms
Hi,
Do Articles (a, an and the) have weak and strong forms in Spoken English?
If yes then what are the weak and strong forms of "a, an and the"?
Thanks

Unless contrasted, they are always unstressed. Indians tend to stress articles.
schwa, n for a and an.

... but the contrasted thing may be implicit. Example: 'Ibiza is the place to go for a holiday' - Ibiza is being contrasted with all other possible holiday destinations.
Today, this use of 'the' may be seen as not really contrastive at all; it's just a specialized usage. But it was originally contrastive.

Sorry, but you are incorrect... Indians tend to omit articles, as the concept of "articles" is not found in of the indian languages....
Secondly, as BobK pointed out "the" is used to provide emphasis and is stressed on many occasions..
You are the man.
