Hello everyone
I'm a little bit confused about using each one of these two verbs ( restore/ rehabilitate), though I checked their exact meanings in dictionary.
1- To restore the space shuttle.
2- to rehabilitate the space shuttle.

What other suggestions can be used in this case.

note : The space shuttle no more can be used. just to be put in the exhibition.

Thanks in advance.

Restore, reconstruct, refit, repair -- all are good in this case, but I think 'restore' is the best choice.
If the shuttle is badly damaged and needs severe reconstruction you can use the word 'overhaul'. If it's not heavily broken, then 'to fix' would also work.

What about rehabilitate?

to fix or repair something means you can then use it.
but the space shuttle no more will be used, just to put it in an exhibition.

I hope I made it clear:)

I see, but I don't think your word choice would depend on whether you're going to launch the shuttle into orbit or use it as an exhibit. The point you're trying to make is that something is wrong with the shuttle and it needs restoring, right?
Or maybe you could clarify a bit more as to what exactly needs to be done to the shuttle.

If the astronauts survived a space shuttle accident (before or during the take-off, of course. If it happened in the air or in the space there would be no intact pieces left to do anything, let alone rehabbing) they would be sent to a rehab center to help them recover the trauma. But I don't know how a space shuttle is rehabbed.
