Dear all,

If we described a certain place as being "minimal", can it mean "simple"??? I know the literal meaning of "minimal, though.

Example "It's very minimal. At the same time, there's a certain sense of positive, human, luxurious qualities about it

It can mean simple but in what sense or in what areas? The term "minimal" by itself is not sufficiently descriptive to give the listener/reader an understanding of what is minimal.
