Hi, I'm wondering about the position of so in the examples below. Which sentence sounds more natural?

1/ If you so choose, wash with shampoo again.
2/ If you choose so, wash with shampoo again.

"If you so choose"

You can put it at the end of the sentence or at the beginning.
You can also use it before "to + infinitive".

You mean in general, not in this case though? If you choose, wash with shampoo again so sounds a bit awkward to me.

Is this case a special case?!

I only meant it sounded awkward, so I thought I'd make sure, that's all.
Maybe it's me who's the special case here ;)

I never told you to place "so" at the end of the sentence! I just said that you can place "If you so choose" at the end of the sentence, as well as you can place it at the beginning.

Ah welll, that explains it all. I misunderstood it was all about "so" itself.

Ah welll, that explains it all. I misunderstood it was all about "so" itself.

And about "so" itself. Look it up in the dictionary and see how it is used in expressions like:

I think/suppose/expect/hope etc. so
say so/tell somebody so
so they say/so they tell me/ so I understand
so is/does/can/will etc. somebody
I told you so.
so be it
