My version : These lion cubs, born in a Gaza zoo, have died after two days they were born.

Isn't there any other way to rewrite the original version?

Almost certainly, but why do you want to?

I am sometimes confused about the use of "after". You would have seen how I had used "after" in my own sentence. So I want to know whether there is another way to rewrite the sentence with the word "after".

The original sentence already contains the word "after".

You could say, "These lion cubs, born in a Gaza zoo, have died [STRIKE]after[/STRIKE], two days after they were born."

The original version does avoid repeating born, though.

"These lion cubs, born in a Gaza zoo, have died after, two days after birth."

;-)

I still think the original is fine.
