Hi,

What are the differences between these three terms?

That'll be the day!
Carry me out.
You don't say!

Do all three expressions mean the same "It is impossible"? and How is it used?

Thanks a lot

I'd use them like this, though others may see things differently:

1 I don't think that will happen
2 Pretending to be shocked
3 Sarcastic way of pretending to express surprise

Neither have I. Nor would I.
Maybe in a poetic way? Carry me out to the sea ....
I just understand this as similar to take me out to (but you need context)

The same for me, a speaker of BrE. I would be able to guess its meaning if it came up in a third-rate sitcom.
