Not really. That's pretty standard in any English with that usage.

It's the same as 'I'm on a four year contract'. When talking about things like that, I've noticed 'on' is used a lot more regularly than 'in'.

These exchanges have remided me of an old time radio show. If you (plural) have time to listen to an episode, Google: It Pays To Be Ignorant Radio Show and click on: Matinee Classics - Old Time Radio Shows- It Pays To Be Ignorant. Each episode begins with the introduction of a panel of "experts" followed by a "serious" discussion of a topic/question. You can select any episode/topic (e.g. What Is An Optimist?) and listen. Please understand that this post is "no reflection on any of us 'experts', and any similarity between the radio show and the series of responses, including mine, to the original post is purely coincidental". ;-)
