Unable to post

Hi Moderator

Something is wrong on the Forum's side. Sometimes I can post, and sometimes I can't.

Could you please look into the matter?

We updated the site yesterday and it might have been related to this, but things should have settled down now; I haven't noticed any problems with posting today.

Indeed. There are no reported issues with posting that relate to the changes made yesterday.

Could you tell me a little bit more about where you were trying to post (which forum / thread), and whether you were posting a new post or replying?

I posted to "Ask a Teacher". Sometimes the post goes through and sometimes the my computer screen shows a blank and nothing is posted.

I've no problem with my computer in regard to other things. I will continue to post and see how things work out. If other members don't complain, then I think there is indeed something wrong with my computer, at least in regard to posting a question to your forum. If such is the case, I should have my computer checked.

Elaine, I have experienced the same difficulties so I know the problem is not with your computer. Let's give the new format a couple of days to 'grow' and see what happens! :up:

Ok, well, the changes made to the layout of the forum will have had no direct effect on the ability to post messages. However, it might be that something else is happening... does the site seem slow to you when you try and post and have problems, or is it normal?

Amigo also experiences the same problem. In fact, the problem started about one week ago. When I'v finished tying, I send the query and sometimes it went through However, sometimes after posting, my computer shows a blanks screen.

As I said, earlier, I will continue to post and let you know the result.

Hi, Red5!

Part of the 'problem' seems to be related to the amount of time it is taking to load the advertisements. Messages will not 'appear' until the ad at the top (and perhaps elsewhere on the page) has loaded. Since the ads produce the much needed revenue for the site, we may just have to live with the slower posting speed! ;-)

Minor observation: Under 'Quick Links' the 'Unanswered Threads' option is partially hidden by the 'Reply to Thread' overlay.

Right, well, I've just changed where the ads are being served from and have hopefully sped the forum up now. Let me know if it seems faster or if the problems stop...

It was a good observation by Amigos.

I believe since you have moved the ads somewhere else, posting shouldn't be a problem any more.
