Default Email not working?

I just used the "send message by email" feature but apparently when the recipient replied, it did not reach me. I have checked my settings and the address listed there is correct and I have my email open right now and no message has arrived in any folder. Can an admin check this by emailing me?

It seems that the email notification is not working for me either. Maybe the administrator has turned it off.

Hi stuartnz, I just received an email saying that you just replied to this thread. So it does not notify me if I myself replies to the thread but if someone else writes something it does send me an notification. Now maybe this is the problem with your own account. An other possibility is that you put something wrong in your setting or in subscribing to the thread.

Hi stuartnz, could you please try as the following: to this thread, you click on "thread tools" and then "Unsubscribe from this thread .... " and you will see something saying that your subscribed thread has been removed .... Open the thread one again and you choose "thread tools" and continue with " subscribe to this thread". In the next page, please choose "Notification Type: instant notification by email" and then you click on "add subscription". Afterward type something and we can check if it solves the problem.

Thanks again for your patient efforts to help, hanky, but as I said the problem has been sorted out. It was not the problem you were attempting to provide solutions for.

Hi, sorry for misunderstending you. ;) Anyway, I have just check "email this page" function and it is OK. And when the recipient replies, he has to type your email manually, otherwise it will be sent to "UsingEnglish.com ESL Forum <EMAIL REMOVED - Send PM to This User Instead>" by default, there is nothing that the admin can do in this case.
