I think the search function should be changed,
Some seconds ago I wanted to search for could.

In my opinion the shortest possible word (for the search function) should consist of 4 characters.
Like wish.
So some users can search the thread titles directly for words like wish.

As your quotation says, common words are not included in searches. You can look for four-letter words if they're not common words.
