If there were degrees for demonstrated ability to make typos, I'd have a PhD.

I have noticed that when I edit my typos after submitting my post, this goes unremarked if I do it quickly enough. After a certain time, my carelessness is exposed by a 'last edited...' label attached to my post. How long do I have to rectify my faults before I am exposed?

ps. I have added this ps for two reasons:
1. to see if I have done it soon enough to be exposed
2. to say that this is simply curiosity - no hint of complaint

Yes, I've noticed this too. I believe you also get less time if you have navigated away from that page before deciding to check and amend it. The 'last edited' sign is annoying, but if something needs fixing, it has to be done (for us Obsessive-Compulsive types).
