Is it just me, or is the new layout very top-heavy? My intent is helpful, so I'd like to register an opinion: since most modern monitors are widescreen (16:9), vertical real estate is at a premium. Now, when I go to UE, only the bottom one-third now displays forum topics. The top 2/3 are title bar, menu bars and so on. Could we consider halving the big blue bar at the top?
Thanks
I suspect that without the "big blue bar" there wouldn't be a "Using English" website, as I believe it pays for developing/maintaining the site via the adverts.
Between that and the latest post, the only items of prime interest to me are the "Post reply" button, the "tags.......logout" menus and the "private messages" alert box (which might be able to fit, system permitting, on the reply button line).
Not sure how much could really be changed anyway, as I believe the format is produced by a third party, who provide a similar format for other forums.

The "likes" box takes up a fair amount of space.
Can it go in the middle of the directory/welcome bar, when viewing threads, to save space?
Whilst mentioning the "likes" button, what is the trigger for it, as, on this thread, it says 2-likes, but there are 3 "liked" posts and more than 3 individual "likes"!
Confused!

Looks like "likes" is working fine now.
Many thanks!
